Using Your System

Device and Sensor Settings

Changing Device Settings

Device Settings are sensor-specific settings. If you are looking to change your System Settings—which refer to settings for your entire system, like Wi-Fi connection and chime and siren volumes—please visit our Base Station and System Settings article (opens in new tab).

Each type of sensor has its own list of settings, and each sensor’s settings can be changed separately. For example, if you would like to change how your entry sensors respond in OFF mode and you have two entry sensors, you would need to change this setting for each sensor.

You can access Device Settings via your SimpliSafe® Mobile App, Keypad’s menu, or SimpliSafe® Online Account (opens in new tab) to change a sensor’s name, remove a sensor from your system, or change its settings.

How To Access Device Settings Using the SimpliSafe® App

  1. Open the SimpliSafe® App (opens in new tab) on your phone or tablet

  2. Navigate to My System from the bottom navigation bar

  3. Select Device Settings (opens in new tab)
